Not sure where else to put this, since this is a discussion, but I figure we need a thread for what structures we want on our field, or what current structures we want to change.
We have the Kill House We have the Speed Ball Court ---> Village
I think we need some form of a rope tower like at Area 51. Building it as tall would be expensive.
We also need a Sniper tower, we could just have it attached to a tree for sturdiness. I know that seems dangerous, but I think we could have a ladder on the side of the tree, and then have it come to a platform, with some for of rails around it or something.
We need a building over near the back spawn. We need a real killhouse for CQB stuff. All I''ve got so far.

The killhouse is a hallway system for CQB and such. The village will be buildings and alleys people can get into and navigate. This is also cqb area, with field capability through the alleys. Also, we talked about having 1 or 2 taller buildings for sniping. Theres no way we can do a 'sniper post' in a tree. Too dangerous. Building by the back spawn: great idea! Definately need some sort of actual base.

Yeah I want some estate thing like a house. Why is it too dangerous? If it was like a crows nest with rails up to your waist I dont see how it's a problem. It's platformed, so it's attached to the tree for sturdiness, but it has it;s on legs coming off of it, like a machine gun tower.

First, the sniper post has to be built very well. No jerry-rigging. We have to follow codes, such as 45 degree angles for supports and stuff like that. Also, I'm sure theres a safety guidlines thing out there somewhere that states how high guard rails have to be, and how high up a structure can be. Thats even if it CAN be placed in a tree. At Area 51, on the Castle, and the Dude Ranch, the walls were up to about chest height. Thats probably regulaion. (at least 4 feet) Also, they weren't railings. It was basically a shorter wall, fully sealed with no gaps. I still say no to a tree post. Unless you can show me a link to an official rule or guidelines for Michigan recreational sports involving tree forts. Something of that sort. Also, I will not help to build it, nor will I ever recommend anyone going into it. Even if it all works out, once the enemy know you're in the tower, you're fucked. They can just keep an eye on you until they eventually shoot you, or pretend they left, and shoot you when you climb down. But hey, you could fall while being shot. Doesn't seem safe.

I'll build it, I'm down with that. I don't think there will be rules in parks and recreation for forts, one way or another. I don;t mind to build walls or some sort of side to a certain heigth, whatever is safe. Hell, screw a sniper tower, let;s make an mg tower, way cooler. I'm down to build one. I can find plans for a tree fort, and just build that. If others think it's a cool idea, let's build one. If they don;t we wont.

I'll bring it up at the meeting. How high do you want it?

My only thought with a tower is that how you're getting up there is a one way. It's not a quick way in and out. You'd be getting blasted by bbs. Also, if someone falls and gets hurt that's a big one. No, they cannot sue us legally, but that's terrible reputation if we let someone get hurt like that. But we will bring it up at the meeting, just myself personally and obviously Nick as well, it's not a great idea.
I think buildings are fine, even as it is building two story houses are going to be a challenge to build correctly. If we do a sniper tower, or any type of tower it's not going to be top priorety at all.

I'll build it then. If you two aren't big on the idea then I don't mind building it. It depends, I need to se what the rural building codes are of Alpena Twnship. I'm thinking a ten foot tower. Maybe as high as eight. I don't expect anyone to fall out, because there will be siding to it of some kind. It sounds dangerous, but it's no more dangerous than walking across the street and getting hit by a car. I think we can safely do all of this, as long as it's done by the code, which is how I plan on doing everything. I will make sure that everything is done the right way.
EDIT: I think we need to decide what is priority at the next meeting. Everyone is donating money into this, so we need to ask everyone what they think should be improved upon/built first - son on and so forth.
